Youth Initiative to Beautify the Stairs of Ras Al-Ain Municipality in Nablus

As part of joint efforts to enhance the spirit of cooperation and community participation, Witness Center for Citizen Rights and Social Development, in partnership with the Hamdi Manko Nablus Municipality Cultural Center and in collaboration with the Health Department of the municipality, launched a youth initiative aimed at cleaning and beautifying the stairs of the Nablus Municipality surrounding Ras Al-Ain water pump.

The initiative included a range of activities, such as cleaning and painting the stairs around the water pump in Ras Al-Ain, cleaning its internal garden, and creating a mural that reflects the city’s cultural heritage. A large number of young volunteers participated in this initiative, working diligently to add an aesthetic touch to the area, thereby raising awareness of the importance of maintaining the environment and participating in the improvement of public facilities and the city’s aesthetic appearance.

Mr. Ahmed Jarousha, Project Manager at the Witness Center, expressed his happiness with this fruitful cooperation, emphasizing the importance of such initiatives in fostering a positive spirit among the youth and motivating them to actively participate in improving their communities.

Mr. Anwar Al-Mahroum, Director of Hamdi Manko Center and representative of Nablus Municipality, conveyed the greetings of the Mayor of Nablus, Mr. Hossam Al-Shakhsheer, to all the workers and volunteers participating in this voluntary effort, which reflected their belonging and love for their city. He also thanked the Witness Center for this distinguished initiative and constructive cooperation, praising the joint efforts between institutions that contribute to the improvement and development of community work within the city of Nablus. He also thanked the popular and organizational committees in the Ras Al-Ain area for their support of this initiative, and artist colleague Mays Abu Sa’a for supervising the expressive artworks completed during this initiative.

The organizers of this initiative hope that it will serve as a model for future initiatives aimed at improving the infrastructure and general appearance of the city, and fostering a spirit of cooperation among various institutions and individuals.
