In Nablus: Youth Continue Turning Ideas into Community Action
Witness Center, in partnership with Local Communities Organization, organized an interactive youth meeting in Nablus Governorate as part of the project “Youth-Led Initiatives for Dialogue and Peacebuilding – From Echo to Influence,” funded by the European Union and implemented through Expertise France.
The meeting marked another important step in the project journey, bringing together youth from Nablus and Jenin to further develop the community initiatives they had started designing during the previous phase. It created a collaborative space where participants exchanged ideas, reflected on their progress, and worked together to transform initial concepts into practical and actionable plans.

Working in participatory teams, the young participants refined their initiatives by identifying community needs, defining objectives, planning activities, and discussing implementation strategies to ensure their ideas are both realistic and responsive to local priorities.
The meeting also focused on strengthening participants’ skills in creative thinking, teamwork, leadership, planning, and decision-making, while encouraging peer learning and constructive feedback to improve the quality and impact of the proposed initiatives.

This activity forms part of the project’s broader goal of empowering young people to play an active role in community dialogue and peacebuilding by leading initiatives that promote social cohesion, civic participation, and positive change within their local communities.
At the end of the meeting, the youth teams presented the updated versions of their initiatives and outlined the next steps toward implementation, reaffirming their commitment to transforming ideas into meaningful action and becoming active contributors to stronger and more resilient communities.
