An entertainment and awareness event for the students of Um Qusah School, threatened with demolition, in cooperation between Witness Center, Kashif, and the Ministry of Education.”
“Witness Center and Kashif organized an entertainment event for the students of Um Qusah School, threatened with demolition by the Israeli occupation, in the Bedouin community of Yatta in the southern West Bank, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education through the International and Public Relations, Media Education, and Yatta Education Unit.
The Ministry of Education, through Yatta Education, hosted a joyful and fun event, including face painting for the children of the Bedouin communities participating in the Summer Resilience Camp, and engaging the children in informative and purposeful media sessions.
This event comes as part of the support and advocacy activities for the school threatened with demolition, which deprives 60 students of their right to free and safe education, like children worldwide, and emphasizes the necessity of bringing joy and happiness to their hearts amid the difficult circumstances they are facing.
Um Qusah School serves four communities in the Yatta desert area, including 60 students from the first to fourth grades in addition to kindergarten. The school received a demolition order from the occupation two weeks ago.
It’s worth noting that Witness Center and Kashif recently signed a partnership agreement with the Ministry of Education aimed at implementing several educational interventions and activities in the fields of media education, information literacy, and digital citizenship, affirming the activation of strategic partnership frameworks in this context.”
