Witness Center and Mohammedia Association Organize a Training on Capacity Development and Intercultural Dialogue
Witness Center for Citizen Rights and Social Development (SHAHID), in cooperation with the Mohammedia Association – Indonesia and supported by Lazismu, organized a training workshop attended by 70 youth from Bethlehem and Hebron, Palestine.
Ahmed Jaroushi, Executive Director of SHAHID, opened the session by highlighting the constructive collaboration between SHAHID and the Mohammedia Association in promoting a culture of dialogue and peacebuilding within Palestinian society. He reviewed SHAHID’s programs and the significant achievements accomplished over the past ten years since its establishment.
The workshop covered key topics on intercultural dialogue, capacity building, and conflict resolution. Participants were divided into two groups; Trainer Mohammed Obaisi led discussions on conflict, exploring the nature and meaning of conflict and methods for analyzing and resolving it. Meanwhile, Dr. Mohamed Awad addressed intercultural dialogue, emphasizing its importance, the challenges youth face in this field, and effective strategies for fostering intercultural exchange.
