“Witness Center organizes a workshop on fact-checking misleading information in Bethlehem.”

“Today, Witness Center, through the Palestinian Platform for Fact-Checking and Media Literacy – Kashif, launched a training workshop titled ‘Fact-Checking Misleading Information’ in the city of Bethlehem.

Participants on the first day were introduced to the types and contexts of misinformation, and the impact of misleading information on citizens’ rights. They discussed the most misleading topics and platforms in Palestine, as well as the challenges of fact-checking information.

The training over the next two days will cover misinformation using Hebrew media, the use of artificial intelligence in verification, and practical training on verification tools.

This activity was implemented with the support of the United Nations Development Program and UNESCO: Promoting Freedom of Expression – Enhancing the Role of Visual, Audio, and Social Media.”
