Highlights from the “Be Accurate: AI and Factchecking” Session!
We had an incredible “Be Accurate: AI and Factchecking” session, hosted by the Witness Center “Shahid” and the Palestinian Platform for Fact-Checking and Media Literacy- Kashif, in collaboration with young civil society activist Mai Shaheen.
This session, part of the
Palestinian Platform for Fact-Checking and Media Literacy- Kashif, featured insightful discussions from distinguished speakers:
• Sabah Al-Khatib, Editor of Verify Syria, who shared his expertise on “AI and Fact-Checking.”
• Dina Ibrahim, Executive Director at Akhbar Meter, who discussed “Patterns Analysis and AI.”
• Riham Abu Aita, Co-founder and Executive Director at The Palestinian Platform for Fact-Checking and Media Literacy- Kashif, who contributed valuable insights on the context of fact-checking in Palestine.
Participants explored the role of AI in fact-checking and contributed to the development of a recommendation paper for the Palestinian Platform for Fact-Checking and Media Literacy- Kashif.
“Be Accurate: AI and Factchecking” is a youth-led initiative under the Young Civil Society Leadership Program (YSCLP), offered by the Anna Lindh Foundation as part of the EU-funded project Med Dialogue, in collaboration with DAI Global.
