Witness Center Launches a Youth Initiative to Promote Heritage Tourism in Nablus Old City Through the Installation of a Tourist Routes and Destinations Map

Witness Center for Community Development and Citizen Rights, through a youth-led initiative funded by the European Union, implemented the installation of a “Tourist Routes and Destinations Map in Nablus Old City,” in partnership with the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities and Nablus Municipality, and in the presence of the Tourism and Antiquities Police.

This initiative is part of “Our Mark, Our Hands” (From Echo to Influence), which aims to strengthen youth participation in society by supporting their ideas and transforming them into practical initiatives that they lead themselves, enhancing their role as active partners in driving change and serving their local communities.

The map features three tourist routes, highlighting the names and locations of businesses and shops specializing in handicrafts and traditional industries in the Old City. This will help visitors and tourists easily locate these sites while promoting the traditional crafts and heritage products for which Nablus is renowned.

The map also includes a QR code, enabling visitors to use their mobile phones to navigate easily to the locations identified on the map, enhancing the visitor experience and encouraging the exploration of the Old City’s landmarks and tourist destinations.

This initiative reflects Witness Center’s commitment to empowering young people and providing them with opportunities to transform their ideas into tangible achievements that create a positive and lasting impact on the community.
