Witness Center organized a two-day training on election monitoring and electoral media

Witness Center for Citizen Rights and Social Development—SHAHID organized a two-day training on election monitoring and electoral media, bringing together a group of volunteers interested in public affairs and in strengthening integrity and transparency.

On the first day, trainer Sobhieh Draghmeh introduced the basics of election monitoring, including its different types, data collection tools, and methods of observation and documentation. The sessions also touched on integrity standards, codes of conduct, accessibility, and the inclusion of women and persons with disabilities, alongside practical exercises and report-writing.

On the second day, media trainer Manar Al-Madani focused on the role of media in elections, covering campaign monitoring, media analysis, and the importance of ethical and unbiased coverage, with attention to gender issues. Ms. Haneen Ramadan also presented an overview of the legal framework, including recent updates to election laws and the role of observers.
