Witness Centre Signs International Cooperation Agreement with Spanish Filtro Association in Media Literacy
Witness Center for Citizen Rights and Social Development and Filtro Association have signed a global cooperation agreement aimed at enhancing joint efforts in media literacy, awareness, and knowledge exchange through the Kashif Observatory.
Witness aims to build a society committed to human rights, promote gender equality, and integrate marginalized groups—especially women, youth, refugees, and people with disabilities—into decision-making processes at both local and national levels. Filtro Association is a Spanish organization that offers media literacy workshops and professional development training, focusing on critical thinking and reducing the impact of misinformation in society.
The agreement includes the implementation of projects that cover media awareness campaigns, the development of a framework to promote fact-checking efforts, and the exchange of knowledge and experiences between the two parties. The collaboration will be facilitated through the “Kashif”, ensuring a comprehensive and effective approach to media literacy and human rights advocacy on a global scale.
This agreement marks a significant step towards strengthening international cooperation in the fields of human rights and media literacy, contributing to empowering communities worldwide to access accurate information and exercise fundamental democratic rights.
