Witness Center and the Muhammadiyah Association Organize Training on Capacity Building and Intercultural Dialogue

Witness Center for Citizen Rights and Social Development, in collaboration with the Muhammadiyah Association – Indonesia, and supported by Lazismu, organized a training session with students from the Arab American University in Jenin.

The event was opened by the Director of Public Relations, Mr. Firas Al-Saifi, who introduced the constructive collaboration between Witness Center and the Arab American University in providing training workshops for youth.

Ahmad Jaroushi spoke about the session, emphasizing its goal to promote a culture of dialogue and peacebuilding within the Palestinian community. He also highlighted the Center’s programs and key achievements over the 10 years since its establishment.

Dr. Laila Harzallah, Assistant to the President for Community Affairs at the Arab American University, emphasized the importance of such training sessions for the students.

The session covered topics on intercultural dialogue, capacity building, and conflict resolution. Trainer Mohammed Obaisi addressed issues related to conflicts, such as understanding the nature and meaning of conflict and ways to resolve and analyze them. He also discussed the importance of intercultural dialogue, the challenges facing youth in this field, and effective strategies for intercultural communication.

The meeting concluded with the participants presenting their ideas and the distribution of certificates.
