When Olive Meets Culture: The Palestinian National Youth Council in Nablus Renews Its Commitment to the Land

Under the patronage of the Higher Council for Youth and Sports, the Palestinian National Youth Council – Nablus, in cooperation with the Witness Center, the Nablus Governorate, and the Asira Al-Shamaliya Municipality, organized the event “Olive and Culture” in the town of Asira Al-Shamaliya, celebrating the olive harvest season — a symbol of resilience and national belonging.

The event emphasized the significance of this heritage season in strengthening farmers’ steadfastness, encouraging youth attachment to their land, and reflecting the deep-rooted bond between the Palestinian people and their blessed soil.

The atmosphere of the celebration was marked by a distinctive national and cultural spirit, featuring artistic performances by the Zaytouna and Zinnar troupes, which expressed the essence of Palestinian identity and popular heritage.

The Palestinian National Youth Council extended its gratitude to the landowner, Mr. Suhail Yassin (Abu Ashraf), for his warm hospitality and cooperation in ensuring the success of the event.

This initiative comes as part of a series of voluntary and cultural activities implemented by the Council in Nablus Governorate, aiming to strengthen the spirit of volunteerism and national belonging among youth and to support community initiatives that reaffirm attachment to the land and Palestinian identity.
