Nablus – September 14, 2024

In cooperation between the Witness Center for Citizen Rights and Community Development, the UN-Habitat Program, and the Ministry of Local Government, a specialized training titled “Safe and Inclusive Public Spaces in Palestine from a Media Perspective” was held on Saturday at the Royal Suites Hotel in Nablus.

This training aims to build the capacities and raise the awareness of civil society organizations and media professionals as partners and intermediaries between local authorities and civil society, focusing on their essential role in increasing community awareness and improving the management of safe and inclusive public spaces.

The training is part of a series of specialized sessions targeting local authorities and their partners, aiming to integrate gender issues into programs related to public spaces, with attention to safety and inclusiveness standards.

The training is conducted under the “Shared Life: Eliminating Violence Against Women in the West Bank and Gaza Strip” program, funded by the Government of Canada.
