Nablus Municipality and Witness Center Sign a Cooperation Agreement to Enhance the Role of Youth
Nablus Municipality and the Witness Center for Citizen Rights and Social Development signed a cooperation agreement today, Saturday, aiming to develop the capacities of youth and enhance Nablus’s intellectual and cultural status. The signing ceremony was attended by the Mayor of Nablus, Engineer Adly Yaish, the Vice-Chairman of Witness Center, Saad Jouda, municipal council members Samah Al-Kharouf and Dr. Saher Dweikat, and the General Manager of Witness Center, Kayed Mi’ari.
Mayor Adly Yaish emphasized that the municipality places great importance on youth in its work programs, stressing the necessity of fostering a generation of youth with a sound national upbringing, enabling them to actively participate in planning, decision-making, and implementing work programs.
Yaish affirmed the municipality’s readiness to support all youth initiatives that enhance their role and the status of their city and strengthen their loyalty to Palestine.
For his part, the Vice-Chairman of Shahid Center, Saad Jouda, reiterated the center’s relentless efforts to reach the largest possible segment of youth, who constitute the driving force for positive social and political change in communities.
Shahid Center, in collaboration with Hamdi Manko Youth Center, has conducted a series of training workshops and dialogue meetings, in addition to starting work on launching joint work programs in the old town of Nablus.
