Kashif and the Faculty of Modern Media Conclude “Yalla Facts” Camp on Disinformation and Information Verification

The Palestinian Platform for Fact-Checking and Media Literacy- Kashif, in collaboration with the Faculty Modern Media at the Arab American University, concluded the activities of the “Yalla Facts” camp. This camp targeted 24 high school students and was held at the Arab American University’s Ramallah campus from July 21 to 23, 2024.

Over the course of three days, Kashif provided training on the concept of disinformation, its characteristics, and how to verify information. The training also covered how to deal with Hebrew media and the disinformation associated with it. Kashif’s team showcased the prominent campaigns and accounts that spread misleading materials inciting against Palestinians, especially during the aggression on the Gaza Strip. Additionally, the students were trained on how to produce video reports on information verification.
