“Cooperation Agreement between the Ministry of Education and Witness Center to Enhance Media Education in Education.”

The Ministry of Education and Witness Center for Citizen Rights and Community Development, through the Palestinian Platform for Fact-Checking and Media Literacy “Kashif,” signed a cooperation agreement to support the foundations and approaches of media and information education and implement educational interventions and sessions in education directorates.

This agreement includes enhancing awareness of media issues, digital citizenship, and combating misleading information, which will be implemented by “Kashif.”. The agreement will target a number of educational and school media incubators, training public relations personnel in skills related to verifying misleading information, critical reading of media content, digital security, combating hate speech, and more.

Both parties emphasized the centrality of this agreement, which falls within the context of interest in media and information education and makes those working in the educational sector capable of dealing with media and its content efficiently and effectively, as well as the importance of deepening critical awareness based on professional and scientific foundations.
