Ambassador Mona Abu Amara Receives a Youth Delegation from “Witness Center – SHAHID ” at the Palestinian Embassy in Rome

Her Excellency Ambassador Mona Abu Amara, Ambassador of the State of Palestine to the Italian Republic, received a youth delegation from Witness Center – SHAHID at the headquarters of the Palestinian Embassy in Rome, during the delegation’s visit to Italy as part of the Girl Power Program, aimed at empowering youth and strengthening their international engagement.

During the meeting, the youth delegation presented an overview of Shahid Center’s youth-focused activities, highlighting its vision for youth empowerment and its work on addressing key Palestinian youth issues. The delegation also showcased the Euro-Mediterranean projects in which Shahid Center has participated, focusing on cultural exchange, capacity building, and cross-border youth cooperation.

The Executive Director of Witness Center emphasized the center’s role in joint youth action, noting Shahid Center’s recent membership in the Euro-Mediterranean AICEM Network, a network dedicated to building and developing joint youth projects across the Mediterranean region. He also highlighted the center’s work in the field of popular diplomacy, empowering young people to act as advocates for justice and human rights on the international stage.

For her part, Ambassador Abu Amara warmly welcomed the youth delegation to “their home,” the Embassy of the State of Palestine in Italy, expressing her pride in the active and committed Palestinian youth who continue to advocate for the Palestinian cause with determination. She praised their efforts in amplifying the Palestinian narrative globally through youth-led initiatives, modern tools, and effective people-to-people diplomacy.

The Ambassador stressed the vital role Palestinian youth play in building bridges with international communities and enhancing Palestine’s presence in youth and civic spaces, commending Shahid Center’s experience and its impactful work at both regional and international levels.
