“The Witness Center inaugurated a training course titled ‘Time for Change’ as part of the Youth Lead Peace project.”
As part of the activities of the Youth, Peace, and security network in Palestine, Witness Center for Citizen Rights and Social Development opened a training course entitled “Time for change” as part of the Youth Lead Peace Project, which aims to promote human rights in society, provide a platform for constructive dialogue, exchange ideas and give space to express their ideas through various initiatives, activities, and training.
In turn, trainer Mohammed Al-obaisi made an intervention on the concept, forms, and programs of nonviolence and their projection on the Palestinian reality, and gave an overview of the nonviolent movements in the world and their achievements.
For his part, Ahmed Jaroushi, project manager at the Center, stressed the importance of working with the youth category with the broad participation of youth from various Palestinian universities, where the foundations will be laid for the formation of an alliance regarding Security Council Resolution 2250 on Youth, security, and peace at the local and international levels in all participating institutions from 8 Arab and European countries, and this project is implemented with the support of the ERASMUS+ program. The project is scheduled to last for a year, interspersed with many training and youth initiatives at Palestinian universities and international visits.
