اشرف مركز شاهد لحقوق المواطن والتنمية المجتمعية على تنفيذ مجموعة من المبادرات الطلابية التي تهدف الى تعزيز وعي الطلبة بمبدأ شمولية المرافق العامة وتلبيتها لاحتياجات الأطفال. ونفذ المركز ثلاث مبادرات في أريحا ونابلس، على أن يتم تنفيذ ثلاث مبادرات أخرى في مدينتي جنين وبيت لحم خلال الأيام المقبلة. 

وتأتي هذه المبادرات ضمن مبادرة ” مدينتي: الأماكن العامة في عيون الأطفال” المنفذة من خلال برنامج حياة المشترك، وقامت طالبات مدرسة ظافر المصري بتعزيز مفهوم الأمان المروري وحق المشاة في التنقل الأمن في أحياء المدينة من خلال إبراز درج البلدية المحاذي للمدرسة وتلوينه بطريقة مستوحاة من نقوش البلاط النابلسي القديم. فيما قام طلاب مدرسة أبو بكر بالشراكة مركز حمدي منكو والفنانة ميس تكروري بتنفيذ جدارية على جدار المدرسة، حيث تسلط الجدارية الضوء على ضرورة شمولية الأماكن العامة للجميع ولا سيما النساء والفتيات. فيما قام طلاب مدرسة زهرة المدائن في أريحا بتنفيذ ممر آمن للمشاة قرب المدرسة. “وتعتبر مبادرة مدينتي: الأماكن العامة في عيون الأطفال ” مبادرة اجتماعية، حضرية، تستهدف عدة مدارس في مدن (جنين، نابلس، أريحا، وتجمع بيت لحم الذي يشمل: بيت لحم، بيت جالا، بيت ساحور، والدوحة)، وتهدف إلى رفع وعي الطلبة المشاركين بأهمية الأماكن العامة، وتعزيز روح المبادرة لديهم من أجل المساهمة في تحسين والمحافظة على الأماكن العامة في مدنهم. وتوجهت مديرة المشاريع في مركز شاهد ميسرة صبح بالشكر لكافة الشركاء الذين ساهموا في نجاح المبادرة والمبادرات حتى الآن وخاصة طلبة المدارس وهيئاتها التدريسية والإدارية، ووحدة النوع الاجتماعي في وزارة التربية والتعليم ووحدة التخطيط في وزارة الحكم المحلي، ومنسقي البلديات، ومنسقي وحدة النوع الاجتماعي في المديريات والمتطوعين والمتطوعات. وأكدت صبح على استمرار تنفيذ المبادرات في مدينتي جنين وبيت لحم خلال الأيام المقبلة.

Witness Center “Shahid” for Citizen Rights and Community Development supervised the implementation of a set of student initiatives aimed at enhancing students’ awareness of the principle of inclusiveness of public facilities and their response to the needs of children. The center has implemented three initiatives in Jericho and Nablus, and three other initiatives will be implemented in the cities of Jenin and Bethlehem in the coming days.

 These initiatives come as part of the “My City: Public Spaces in the Eyes of Children” initiative implemented through the Joint Life Program. The students of Zafer Al-Masri School have promoted the concept of traffic safety and the right of pedestrians to move safely in the neighborhoods of the city by highlighting the municipality stairs adjacent to the school and coloring it in a way inspired by inscriptions Old Nabulsi Tiles. Meanwhile, the students of Abu Bakr School, in partnership with Hamdi Mango Center and artist Mays Takrouri, implemented a mural on the school’s wall, where the mural highlights the need for all public spaces to be inclusive, especially women and girls. Meanwhile, students of Zahrat Al-Madaen School in Jericho implemented a safe pedestrian passage near the school. The Madinaty initiative: Public Spaces in the Eyes of Children is a social, urban initiative that targets several schools in the cities (Jenin, Nablus, Jericho, and the Bethlehem Community, which includes: Bethlehem, Beit Jala, Beit Sahour, and Doha), and aims to raise students’ awareness Participants emphasize the importance of public spaces, and enhance their entrepreneurial spirit in order to contribute to the improvement and preservation of public spaces in their cities. The Project Manager at Witness Center “Shahid” Maysara Subuh thanked all the partners who have contributed to the success of the initiative and all other initiatives so far, especially school students and their teaching and administrative bodies, the gender unit in the Ministry of Education, the planning unit in the Ministry of Local Government, the municipal coordinators, and the gender unit coordinators in the directorates and volunteers. And volunteers. Subuh emphasized that the initiatives will continue to be implemented in the cities of Jenin and Bethlehem in the coming days.
